White Rascal Belgian-style White Ale (seasonal)

White Rascal, a Belgian-style wheat or "white" ale, also known as a Belgian wit or witbier, is a relatively new offering from Avery and it seems to be doing rather well.
This bottle-conditioned beer pours with a beautiful, yellow-gold hue with a light haze. Its inviting nose wafts with spices and an orange-like sweetness. Carbonation is lively but not overdone. Mouthfeel is crisp up front and soft and rewarding closer to the finish.
Its rich wheat / malt flavors have an underlying sweetness that is complemented by coriander and Czech-made Saaz hops - classic Noble hops that are spicy and very tasty! Mild yeast notes and a hint of citric bitterness from the Curacao orange peel surface here and there. Dryish, satiating finish.
Overall, I find this beer very flavorful and refreshing; not "heavy" or cloying, either.
Its sweet & spicy interplay made my mouth water well into the aftertaste.

Tasting Room hours are: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 3:30 to 8:00 PM with tours at 3:00 PM sharp & Saturdays 12:30 - 5:00 PM with a tour at noon. First 5 tasters are free, customers can purchase additional tasters or pints if they so choose.
